QR ordering for restaurants

Guests order from their own phones. Your kitchen gets it instantly.

Guests scan the QR card on their table, then order, call a waiter or ask for the bill right from their phone. Orders appear on your PC and print in the kitchen. No tablets to buy, and it keeps working without internet.

  • No app for guests to install
  • Keeps working when the internet is down
  • Set up in an afternoon

Try it

A guest's phone and your staff's app, working together

On the left is the menu guests open from the QR code on their table. On the right is the app on your restaurant's computer. Both are the real TouchMenu, running in your browser with a sample restaurant.

Guest's phone
Staff app on your computer

The app loads in this browser (about 4 MB). Nothing is installed.

Things to try: order a dish on the phone, then accept it on the Orders page. Call a waiter from the phone and mark it done on the Tables page.

A demo in your browser: nothing is sent to a real restaurant.

Features

Everything a busy floor needs, nothing it doesn't

QR ordering

A secret code per table, so orders always land on the right bill. Codes never expire unless you renew them.

Runs on your own network

Your PC serves the menu over your Wi-Fi. If the internet drops, guests keep ordering. Ordering over mobile data is optional.

Kitchen and bill printing

Tickets print on network receipt printers, each dish at the station that makes it. Or use a kitchen screen on any tablet or TV.

Requests from the table

Call a waiter, ask for the bill, water or anything else, or send the staff a message.

Bills that add up

Split a bill across cash, card and QR, or by guest. Discounts, free dishes and guests' own tips. Guests can also pay with your own payment QR, right from their phone.

Easy menu editor

Photos, options, allergens, spice level, stock counts, dishes served at set hours and today's specials. Guests can search and filter the menu. One tap for sold out.

Promotions

Happy hours, timed discounts and flash sales that pop up on guests' phones.

Floor plan and bookings

Draw your restaurant as guests see it, floor by floor, take bookings, keep a waiting list and seat guests with one tap, all from the Tables page.

Reports

Sales, payments, best sellers, busy hours, service speed and guest ratings on a calendar tinted by each day's takings, with CSV export.

Staff and activity log

PIN logins, roles, and a log of every order, payment and change with who did it.

Fun at the table

Chat between tables with swearing hidden in every language, drinks sent as gifts, song requests, trivia with your own questions, and birthday surprises.

Nine languages

Guest menu, staff screens and tickets in English, Mongolian, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German, Spanish and Italian.

FAQ

Questions restaurants ask

Do guests need to install an app?

No. They scan the QR card on their table and the menu opens in their phone's browser.

Does it need the internet?

No. Ordering runs on your restaurant's own Wi-Fi, with your PC as the server, so service carries on when the internet is down. The app goes online now and then to check its license. Ordering over mobile data, if you turn it on, does use the internet.

Can I see it before I buy?

The demo on this page is exactly that: the phone runs the real guest menu, and the screens beside it are the real app. To run TouchMenu in your restaurant you need a license key, which you get the moment you buy a plan.

Can guests order with their own mobile data?

Yes, on the Pro plan, if you turn it on. Guests then scan one code and order on any connection, through touchmenu.app. Orders over mobile data are marked for your staff, and you can take them only at tables where guests are seated.

What equipment do I need?

A Windows 10 or 11 PC that stays on during service, a Wi-Fi router for guests, and optionally network receipt printers (ESC/POS, 58 or 80 mm) for the kitchen and bills. See the requirements.

Which languages does it speak?

Guests pick English, Mongolian, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German, Spanish or Italian on their phone. Each computer's staff screens and the printed tickets can use any of them.

Can guests pay on their phone?

Yes, with your own payment QR. Upload the QR from your bank or payment app once under <b>Settings → Guests' phones</b>. Guests see it with the amount to pay, pay in their own app and tap I've paid; your staff confirm the money arrived. Cash and card still work, and a bill can be split.

Where is my data kept?

On your own PC. Menus, orders and the activity log stay in your restaurant, with automatic daily backups.

Can I use one license on two computers?

A license runs on one computer at a time. When you move to a new PC, release the old one and activate the new one.

How do I cancel?

Cancel anytime from the link in your receipt email. The app keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.

Ready to put TouchMenu on your tables?

Pick a plan, install the app on your PC, add your menu and print your table cards.
